Deoxidized High Phosphorus (DHP) Copper Tubing
Copper Alloy 122 (C12200), also known as DHP Copper Tubing, is a high-performance copper alloy designed for superior thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ease of fabrication. Composed of 99.9% copper with 0.015–0.040% phosphorus, this alloy is deoxidized to improve weldability and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement—making it ideal for high-pressure, high-temperature, and corrosive environments. Alloy C122 copper tubing is the primary alloy used in heating, cooling and plumbing applications. Due to the small amounts of phosphorus, it enhances the deoxidizing properties making it better resistant to oxidation and other forms of corrosion.
